I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside two brothers during spring and fall farming seasons. This brings back many memories of hours on our family farm, just outside of McComb. Genesis 8:22 states: “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
We celebrate the work of our YFC staff as they plant the seed of the Gospel in the hearts of young people and new believers. John 4:36: “Even the harvest workers are receiving their rewards by gathering a harvest that brings eternal life. Then everyone who plans the seed and everyone who harvests the crop will celebrate.”
Area farmers have been great resources for the mission of Youth for Christ with their donations of loads of grain. These gifts of grain have helped the staff plant seeds in student’s lives and at the same time benefit the giver:
• Tax Savings (cash charitable contributions, deductible)
• YFCNWOH has a form to present to your elevator making a smoother grain transfer
• Most grain elevators are experienced in grain donation gift- giving
• Easier to give than other types of property
